We normally hire an independent marine surveyor to obtain objective opinion for the boat. The surveyors are professionals fully certified by SAMS (Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors) or NAMS (National Association of Marine Surveyors). The surveyor inspects the condition of the engine, mechanical, electrical systems, and structural components. During the sea trial, performance and handling of the boat will be checked as well as the safety of the boat. The surveyor will write a survey report after carrying out the survey. The report will be delivered to you and the seller (or broker) so all related parties understand the true condition of the boat.
